Mike Berg
Mike Berg, from Dubuque, decided to give his daughter a special wedding memory. His idea was to sing the songs for first dance and father’s dance himself. The resulting recording has personal appeal that you couldn’t get any other way.
Mike called us from Dubuque one day back in February to discuss a special recording project. His daughter was to be married this spring and he wanted to record some music for the reception. The goal: to create a surprise gift for his daughter that is a memory of her wedding day for the rest of her life.
Specifically, Mike wanted to record “I Loved Her First” and “Butterfly Kisses” for use as first dance and father’s dance at the reception. If you are familiar with these songs, you can imagine how verklempt one can get over the emotionally charged lyrics. Good choices for a wedding reception. I can imagine everyone’s reaction when these recordings played rather than the original ones that people were expecting.
